The Deputy is appointed by the detective; to help serve the police, under the guidance of Agent Smith, a vast amount of resources to be used in the important duty of keeping the town safe and free of pesky criminals, not to mention bloodthirsty monsters. He is assumed Innocent, and should try to lead the actions of the members of their faction in a way that results in the triumph of the Innocents against evil.

Attribute	Trigger Condition	Description
Cumulative role		A player has this role in addition to his main role.
Police channel (p MESSAGE)	Permanent	Deputies can use this channel to talk privately to other police members. Failed Werewolf attacks are also reported to this channel.
Bomb Squad intervention (!bombsquad NICKNAME)	Night round	Causes a Deputy to personally lead a Bomb Squad to a player's house, in order to professionally defuse a bomb that may have been placed there by a Terrorist. This ability can be blocked by the Prostitute.
Termination	Investigation or Arrest by Detective	A Deputy who is revealed to not be Innocents-aligned after an arrest, or who is revealed to be a Mafioso, Camorrista, Werewolf or Vampire by an investigation, will immediately lose his job as Deputy.
