List of Roles

The Priest has always been a benevolent and forgiving figure, maintaining neutrality when the Mafia went about killing everyone. However, once the town became infested with Monsters, the Priest could no longer ignore the Citizen's plight and joined the struggle in an attempt to guide his flock back onto the correct path.

Attributes

Condition

Description
Prayer and meditation After using a skill Everytime the Priest uses an ability, he depletes his spiritual reserves and must spend one day in prayer and meditation in order to recharge them. After meditating, his abilities will be available every day until he uses one of them, after which he will have to meditate again.
Conversion shield Permanent The Priest cannot usually be converted into a Werewolf or Vampire. When he notices a Monster attack and it is too late to run away, he will fight back with his holy powers revealing his identity to the Monster, who promptly flees in terror. The Priest can still be killed by a Monster if caught unaware.
Blessing

(!bless NICKNAME)

In the Morning, must have meditated A blessing cast on a player protects him from evil effects - Conversion into Werewolf or Vampire, Possession and Confusion. Casting it on a Vampire, Werewolf or Zombie has no effect.

The blessing's duration is limited - it can either protect the Player against two attacks on the day it was cast, or against a single attack in the following day. If the player is attacked at least once in the day it was invoked, the blessing will be gone before the next day. Two days later, the blessing is always gone, even if the player was not attacked (if the Priest is still alive at this point, he can bless the same player again.)

If you cast a blessing, then you can use another command the very next day instead of waiting for a day as normal.

Exorcism

(!exorcize NICKNAME)

In the Morning, must have meditated This skill destroys the evil possessing a soul:
  • If used on a Monster or Necromancer, they will die. The Priest's name is not revealed.
  • If used on a Village Idiot, he becomes a Citizen and also goes mute with the shock. The Priest's name is not revealed.
  • If used on anyone else, the Priest will unsuccessfully try to destroy the nonexistent evil until he dies of exhaustion. His target's name is not revealed.
Marriage

(!marry PLAYERa PLAYERb)

In the Morning, must have meditated This skill marries two players. The players must never have married before and neither one can be a Priest. Marriage merges the targets together in the same family, which can be either the former family of either of them or a new family generated by merging both of their former families (random pick). Each of the married players can have either gender - Male or Female. Marriage never reveals the name of the Priest.

Other useful commands

Command Effect
!family Lists your family members who are currently alive.
!fam MESSAGE Sends a private message to the family channel, which is received by all the members of your family.

Sexual Intercourse

Married couples have sex once in the night after being married (if both are still alive). This has two effects:

  • If one of the two married players is Seropositive, the status will be passed on to their partner at this time, regardless of whether a Doctor visited them or not.
  • If the couple is heterosexual, there is a chance the female player will become pregnant.

Pregnancy and Birth

When a player becomes pregnant, they will "give birth" in the following Day Round to a random dead player who has not set Away status.

If, however, the pregnant player does not survive to see the Day Round, the birth will not occur.

The player that is "given birth to" becomes a part of his/her mother's family.

Since the birth is the last event to take place when a Day Round begins, it is entirely possible for the father to be murdered/cursed and then given birth to immediately afterwards.

Family Deaths

When a player that is married or part of a family dies, there is a chance that his/her family members will kill themselves due to suicide, depression, guilt, etc. creating a chain reaction of deaths.

There is a set percentage that determines the chance of each family member dying. The percentage is dependant on the mode being played.

Strategies

Know the enemy

As a priest has 2 main duties marriage and the destruction of the supernatural plague known as the werewolf. Thus knowing the attributes of the werewolf and using them to your advantage are extremely important.

Be aware of any player that growls, be sure to watch the reports for wolf attacks and howls indicating another wolf being spawn. Note that werewolves can not get STD's, disarm bombs or be represented by a lawyer and use this to your advantage.

Marriage

Obviously if the werewolf faction has been wiped out or you are unable to determine the werewolf, marriage should be your next priority. Marriage can be used to revive dead innocents, and can thus prolong the game to aid victory.

However marriage can also be used to prevent mafia victory, if you know the identity of 2 mafioso agents, you can marry them together. By doing this you enable innocents to have a small chance of killing 2 enemy players with one execution!
