This powerful character can't kill directly, but he can however cause deep changes in the course of the game. Like the Village Idiot, the Necromancer can use the mafia channel, but cannot murder. He does not count for the mafia victory. However, UNLIKE the Village Idiot, he is NOT immune to detective investigation. Also, he can be disabled by the prostitute.

Cast Confusion

!confuse NICKNAME

Night round When a player becomes confused he is unable to speak coherently in the main channel or in any private channels. All his text turns to gibberish. Last for the morning and afternoon rounds.
Cast Possession

!possess NICKNAME

Night round When a player is possessed, he becomes completely paralyzed. The necromancer may speak and execute for him, but he can't use any of the target's skills or his own skills during that time either. If the necromancer dies, the target is freed from possession, but if the target dies, the necromancer continues to control the now dead body. If successful possession starts at dawn and lasts for one day till the next dawn.
Cast Zombie

!zombie NICKNAME

Night round When a dead player is zombified he can not use any skills, talk or vote. Any talking results in random squabble due to the condition of his corpse. While the zombie is alive, the necromancer can control its speech, cast a second vote and even order it to suicide. A successful zombie spell lasts from the next morning till the afternoon execution.

Night round The Necromancer is able to listen to the dead channel for the rest of the game.
Mafia channel

(m MESSAGE)

If aligned with the Mafia. The Necromancer can use this channel to talk privately to the other members of the Mafia faction, except for a Mafia-aligned Prostitute.
Camorra channel

(r MESSAGE)

If aligned with the camorra. The Necromancer can use this channel to talk privately to the other members of the Camorra faction, except for a Camorra-aligned Prostitute.
Inherently evil Permanent The Necromancer can be targeted by a Priest's exorcism, which will kill them instantly.
Flexible alignment When the last mafioso is killed. The Necromancer sides with the camorra.

Profiles

Strategies

While the necromancer's ability seem to be a valuable asset, it obviously has plenty of weaknesses. You should remind yourself and other mafia players that your alignment doesn't count towards your factions numbers towards victory, you are not immune to investigation and most players consider the necromancers only true ability the !confuse command.

Weakness

As stated above you already have plenty of weaknesses, however a it turns out you and your abilities are riddled with flaws that only add to your eventual death. Such as:

  • You are vulnerable to priest's exorcism.
  • Your possession skill only allows you to control your host and your body lays dormant, thus an alert player may notice your absence.
  • Not immune to detective's investigate.
  • You do not aid your faction to victory in personal count.

!Confuse

Since possession is an ability riddled with flaws that even pro players tend to avoid, your main ability will be !confuse. Thus your main target will obviously be the public detective. By preventing him from speaking you are enabling the mafia to take control of the main channel and instigate chaos and confusion when voting.
