== Combinations ==

During game play you are able to combine weapons. Combined weapons have the added effect of being able to steal cerain other weapons, as well as being able to beat themselves when not combined. Such as rock+rock=boulder which will beat a plain rock. The command to combine weapons is '''!combine'''. Used like this: '''!combine'''  '''''R S''''', this will create a shurkiken. The two downsides to combining weapons are the fact you '''''must''''' use them on the same day they are created or they will vanish forever and that you use your weapons up faster. See [[Rock-Paper-Scissors Weapons and Combinations |RPS weapons ]].

== Scoring ==

At the end of each round we will see all the attacks take place. For each successful attack you receive '''''1 point'''''. The person with the most points at the end of each round receives '''''2 vp''''' or '''''victory points'''''. In the case of an even tie amongst all players at the end of a round. one player is "run over" and the rest receive 1vp each. In the case of a tie amongst 2 players at the end of a round, they will split for 1 vp each. The first player to reach 5vp wins the game.

== Buying weapons and stock ==

[[ Mafia Points ]] are an added bonus to playing mafia games. For each game played you receive points based on the amount of players in the game. These points can then be used to buy items to store in your own personal stock. Once you have some points saved up, use: '''!buy''' to add to your collection. Use: '''!buy''' '''''ROCK''''' to buy a rock, use: '''!buy''' '''''PAPER''''' for paper and: '''!buy''' '''''SCISSORS''''' for, you got it, scissors. This command only works while no game is being played. Now that you bought some items you can then use the: '''!stock''' command. This command will tell you how many items you have saved. Since your stock is now loaded with good items you can now use the: '''!add''' command. This can only be used during a RPS game. Use: '''!add''' '''''ROCK''''' to add a rock and so on. This will come in useful if you happen to run out of weapons while in a game.

In addition to the standard Mafia games, it is also possible to play games of Rock Paper Scissors between 2-4 players. Just as how it is normally played in its traditional form, players each choose either Rock, Paper or Scissors, with the result being that Rock defeats Scissors, Scissors defeats Paper and Paper defeats Rock. For more information on the traditional game, click here.

Gameplay

In order to participate in a game of rock, paper, scissors you must have a registered nickname and some Mafia Points. Please check here for information on how to register an account. RPS games do not count toward your win loss ratio.

Players may now gamble their Mafia Points in the RPS mini game. During the initial round all players have the option to Raise, Call or Fold. There is a 1 point forced bet. If the stakes become to high for you, simple fold (let the timer expire on your turn) to be removed from the game. Taxes will be collected from the pool of Mafia Points.

The participants are given a balanced amount of each of three basic weapons: rocks, papers and pairs of scissors. The game then consists in a succession of rounds, during each of which all the players can select a weapon to be used against each of the other players. Using a weapon spends it, and when the player runs out of weapons of a given type, he can't use that type anymore.

When the timer runs out, players will engage in battle using their selected weapons. For example, if there are three players, there can be up to 3 battles per round (Player A vs Player B, Player B vs Player C and Player A vs Player C).

In each individual battle, the traditional rules of rock-paper-scissors apply, that is, rock will defeat scissors, scissors will defeat paper and paper will defeat rock. All three weapons defeat inaction (if the second player did not select a weapon to use against the first).

After all the battles, the round is scored in this manner:

  • The player with the most victories in that round will earn 2 victory points.
  • If two or more players are tied for the highest amount of victories, each of them earns 1 victory point.
  • The remaining players were knocked out and earn no victory points.
  • If all players tie in the amount of victories, a random player will step on a Land Mine and be knocked out. The other players will earn 1 victory point.

The game ends after one or more players have reached the required amount of victory points (usually 5 or more).

Weapon combos

It is possible to combine (and spend) two basic weapons of any of the three types to create a stronger weapon. Such weapons have to be used in the current round, and will either defeat more basic weapons, or allow the user to steal a basic weapon being used by the opponent. For more information, read about Rock-Paper-Scissors Weapons and Combinations.

Buying extra weapons

Registered users can buy (while no game is running) extra rocks, papers and scissors using points earned by winning games of Mafia and Rock-paper-scissors. They can do this with the !buy command. Each of the weapons may have a different price.

The player can then use !stock to check how many of each weapon he has stored in his account. These weapons can be added to a game by using (during the said game) !add followed by rock, paper or scissors. Once a weapon has been added to a game, it can't be recovered and must be used in that game.
