The Deputy is appointed by the detective; to help serve the police, under the guidance of Agent Smith, a vast amount of resources to be used in the important duty of keeping the town safe and free of pesky criminals, not to mention bloodthirsty monsters. He is assumed Innocent, and should try to lead the actions of the members of their faction in a way that results in the triumph of the Innocents against evil.

Permanent Detectives can use this channel to talk exclusively with other detectives. Failed Werewolf attacks are also reported to this channel.
Bomb Squad intervention

(!bombsquad NICKNAME)

Night round Causes a Detective to abandon that night's investigation team and personally lead a Bomb Squad to a player's house, in order to professionally defuse a bomb that may have been placed there by a Terrorist. If no Detectives are left to investigate or arrest, no investigation or arrest will occur. This ability can be blocked by the Prostitute.
Deputy, til proven evil Permanent Deputies retain their status even after the Detective dies. However, if the Detective finds that he appointed a criminal as Deputy, he can investigate or arrest him in order to get rid of him. Arrest will always remove a Deputy who is not innocent. Investigation will only remove a Deputy who is an actual Mafioso, Camorrista or Werewolf/Vampire; It will reveal other criminal roles (except for Village Idiot, as always) but it won't remove the Deputy role from them.
