Welcome to mafia. Below you will find a brief explanation of how the game is played. The rest of this wiki is full of indepth information which you can use to hone your skills. Mafia is a fun game often played at parties. Here we use an automated system to act as the narrator. There are four factions in our version. Innocents, Mafia, Werewolves, and Camorra (only large games).

Night Round
The game is a succession of alternated Night and Day rounds. After everyone has joined the game the bot will randomly decide who is innocent or evil as well as give any secondary roles. Most players with special abilities will be able to use them during the night. Regardless of what role you have you can use !help at any time of the day or night to see a list of commands available to you at that moment, as abilities can vary based on morning/afternoon/night/dawn. There are two other very important commands. First is !status this will tell you the current amount of players remaining in each faction. This command should be used regularly. Second is !players this command will give you the names of all players alive in the game. Very usefull if you need the name of a player you want to kill.
- Mafia.
The mafia are able to communicate with each other in a special channel that no one else is able to see. Use m TEXT to speak in the mafia channel. The Night round is when the mafia decide who they want to kill. Each mafioso has 1 vote for murder and whoever recives the most votes will be killed.
- Werewolf.
During the night round any werewolves alive will be able to bite a player and try and turn them into another werewolf. Use the !bite PLAYERNAME to attack someone.
- Camorra.
The camorra faction is almost identical to that of the mafia. They are able to use thier own special channel to communicate that no one else is able to see. Use r TEXT to speak in this channel.
- Innocents.
During the night all the citizens are asleep. Some innocents may have abilities that can be use in the night such as the detective or the doctor however most will not. The citizens method of communication is to talk in the main channel. Everyone is able to see this. However is you are a detective you can use the police channel to talk only to other detectives. Use p TEXT to talk in the police channel.
- Dawn.
During the dawn period, which is the short period before the day round starts, the mafia will see whether their murder was sucessfull or not. The werewolf will know if his bite was sucsessfull and the detectives will get their investigation results if they choose to investigate. This is also the time for the oracle to use his ability.

Day Round
After the night has ended the day round begins. Now is the time that bodies may be discovered if there were any murders in the night. There also may be announcements of other activity from players secondary roles. This is the time that concerned citizens gather together and discuss whom they belive is the mafia. If there is a detective in the game he may reveal his results to the public about what he found. Remember that the mafia and werewolves may pretend to be innocent. Mafia is a game of deception and trying to figure out who is deciving you.
- Afternoon.
In the second half of the day round all the players left alive will vote to execute (hang) someone. This command is !execute PLAYERNAME. The innocents will want to kill a mafia, werewolf, or camorra. The evil factions will of course want an innocent dead. After everyone has voted we will see the person with the most votes hanged and die, thus removing them from the game. We will see what faction he belonged to and also how everyone voted.
- Victory
The game can only end once someone has died. Innocents will win when every mafia, werewolf, and camorra is dead. If the number of camorra or mafia is equal or greater than all players of other alignments, then they win. In the case of a tie between camorra and mafia, the mafia wins. Werewolves win when there are nothing but werewolves left alive.
