Lawyer

This unscrupulous and otherwise shady character is the only thing that stands between an enraged mob and its victim. But the Lawyer is by no means a hero! For the sake of his client -- be they Innocent, Mafia or Camorra -- he will use his eloquence and charming good looks to direct the mob's anger elsewhere.

Attributes

Attribute	Trigger Condition	Description
Lawyer defence (!defend NICKNAME)	In the afternoon	Prepares a defence for the client. If the client were to be targeted by the enraged mob, the Lawyer's defence will cause one of the following to happen: If there were two or more targets with the maximum amount of tied execution votes, one of the remaining targets is hanged. Otherwise: If more than half of the votes for execution are for the client, the enraged mob will turn on the Lawyer and hang him/her instead. If less than half of the votes for execution are for the client, the enraged mob will hang someone else at random, which may be the defended client.
Diplomatic Immunity	Permanent	Due to their strong background in Law and all its loopholes, the police cannot arrest the Lawyer. If an attempt to arrest is made, the Lawyer's identity will be made public.
Casebook	Permanent	Every time a Lawyer successfully defends a non-Werewolf client from the enraged mob, he jots down the faction of his client in his casebook. The Lawyer will win alongside the faction that he has defended the most.
Sales Pitch	Permanent	Never being one to miss an opportunity to do business, the Lawyer will advertise his services to the whole town every afternoon.

Strategies

Two main strategies: 1. Decide which way to align early on if you're confident of what role your potential hangee will be (an arranged hang of an innocent by the dets) with the lawyer known, or 2. In the case of a clear mafia win or "tie breaker" situation, arrange to break the tie (to your own advantage of course).

When other roles wish to find the lawyer, they can be confirmed or arranged by asking for the lawyer to respond by asking for an arranged message, repeating a word, certain punctuation or so forth.
