List of Commands

This page lists all the commands that can be used in the Mafia server. Note that at any given time many commands are role-specific or require certain conditions for you to use them.

!pass	See: User accounts
!ping	Pings the server. It will answer with !pong . See also: !pong
!pong	Sends a ping reply to the server. See also: !ping
!pingpong	Enables or disables the sending of a message from the server at regular intervals to a user whose connection is idle (to help prevent disconnection).
!info	Displays a target player's gender, title and away status if they exist. See also: !away, !gender, Priest, Freemason, List of Santa Presents
!gender	Changes your own gender to MALE or FEMALE (outside a game). See also: !info, Priest, List of Santa Presents
!memorize	(OBSOLETE) Memorizes a player's IP address until the beginning of the next game to be used in !banvote even if that player quits.

!status	Returns information about the current game, your character and your user account. See also: List of Status Effects
!players	Lists the nicknames of all the players who are alive and all the players who are dead.
!family	See: Priest
!showtimer	Displays the amount of seconds left before the next automated change of status (usually the next game round or the end of the cooldown period after a game).
!echo	When disabled, the server will not send your own Common Channel messages back to you (only useful if connecting from IRC). See also: Connecting to Mafia
!nodefault	When disabled, the server will ignore lines you send to him that are not prefixed by any command. Otherwise, they are sent to the Common Channel.
!highlight	When enabled, chat lines written by you will be displayed in a different color.
!beep	Sends an audio alert to a Mafia Client user. See also: The Flash Client
!alert	Sets a word that is sent to you when a new game is started, to be trapped by an IRC client's alert system. See also: Connecting to Mafia
!time	Displays the server's real time.
!away	Sets away mode. Away players cannot be revived into the game and do not receive audio alerts. Away is cancelled by talking or joining a game. See also: !info, !beep, Priest, Freemason, List of Santa Presents

!debug_ss	Used by a Mafia Client to send a line with debug information to the operators.

!quit	Requests for the server to close the connection to you (you can simply disconnect from the client side too).

l	Sends a message to the Giant Clam channel; This command is *NOT AVAILABLE* for players to use.
-	Sends a message to the Death Channel, which is a channel made available to dead players during a game.
c	Sends a message to the Common Channel, which is the main game channel (used by alive people during a game and by everyone when no game is running).
